Recurrence Codes Screen

Use the Recurrence Codes screen to set up general scheduling criteria that will be used when setting up scheduled processes.

Because recurrence codes define how often and when processes should be run, you should set them up before setting up scheduled processes.

Location

Display the screen to view Recurrence Codes.

To display the screen, complete the following step:

In the Administration module, click Product Configuration > UDT 01.

Use this screen to define the recurrence code and set the recurrence pattern.

Identification

Field	Description
Code	Enter a 20-character, uppercase alphanumeric recurrence code. Each code must be unique.
Description	Enter up to 30 characters for a recurrence code description. Make the descriptions as short as possible and properly capitalize them because they are used in drop-down list and as column headings for reports and inquiries.

Recurrence Pattern

Field	Description
Daily	Select this option if the recurrence pattern should occur on a daily basis.
Weekly	Select this option if the recurrence pattern should occur on a weekly basis.
Monthly	Select this option if the recurrence pattern should occur on a monthly basis. You can only select one pattern per recurrence code. For example, if you have selected Daily and then select the Weekly radio button, the Daily radio button will become unselected.
Only Weekdays	This check box displays if the Recurrence Pattern selected is Daily. Select this check box if you wish the recurrence to run only on weekdays. This means that the process will not run on Saturday and Sunday.
Recurs Every	This drop-down list displays if the Recurrence Pattern selected is Weekly.  Use the drop-down list to select the day of the week on which the process will be run. The valid values are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Example: If you select Monday as the option, the process will be run each Monday, even if the Monday is a holiday.
Recurs on the ____ Day of Each Month	This drop-down list displays if the Recurrence Pattern selected is Monthly. Use the drop-down list to select the day of the month on which the process will be run. The valid values are 1 through 31. Example: If you select "1" as the option, the process will be run the first day of each month, no matter what day of the week on which the first day falls. You can select the time of day in which to run the process when you set up each scheduled process.
